I disputed a charge on my Citicard. The merchant was given 2.5 months to respond - September 9, 2015.
I received a letter dated September 3, 2015 indicating I had until AUGUST 19, 2015 to respond. I guess Citi uses a different calendar system. I always thought September was after August which meant I could not possibly respond. I then received a letter three days later stating because I had not responded to the August date, my dispute was closed in favor of the merchant.
I sent three FAXES and emails to the Dispute department which were ignored. I contacted Customer Service - they advised me to contact the Dispute Dept. (which had ignored all my info.) I am a 17 year customer with Citi.
As of the end of this month I will have closed my account.
