Citi took it upon themselves to close my credit card without notification. My credit score is 800+. When I contacted them them, I was told the closure was due to non-use. Of course closing this card lowered my credit score....sounds as though Citi is in financial trouble.

Getting harrassed by customer service

Have been with Citi Bank for 14 years and never had an issue until last month. My auto payments and purchases for my credit card suddenly would not go through. When I called to find out why, all they did was harass me and would not tell me why this happened. The last guy I talked to was Orlan ID#J2RE23. He refused to give me his last name. He did nothing but harass me and would not tell my why this happened. Worst customer service ever.

Quickbooks cannot download tranactions from Citi card

I have a Costco Citi card it will not download transactions to Quickbooks. I have had Quickbooks tech support contact Citi card tech support and Citi admits it is their problem they offer no time table for repair. This issue has gone on for 8 months with the standard answer " we know there is an issue and we are working on it". I have also contacted Costco visa card specialist Brittany she took my original call and will no longer accept or return my calls. Never heard of Costco behaving this way and it will take their influence to solve the issue. Citi simply does not care. This seems so odd since Costco sells Quickbooks and requires the use of a visa card to purchase in their store, sure wish someone would help! Bring back American Express their card works perfectly. Flex being forced on 3 cards

Citicards - Flex being forced on 3 cards
I have three citi credit cards and yesterday I received a letter that they are forcing flex on all three. It states in the paperwork I don’t have a right to reject this. If I wanted flex I would’ve signed up for it. Also they will be raising my interest-rate to 16 99. I have a 850 credit score. This is BS !!! And if I close all 3 that would hurt my score tremendously. They used to be one of my favorite credit card companies but not anymore.

Call costumer service and a superviser and they can remove a late fee Im a loyal costumer with Citi also has my bank account and never happens before late 1 day , my next step is close my bank account and cancel the credit card

Obviously your service people are poorly trained. I called the Chat Line to ask for info.

on two transactions on my credit card(9365) in Oct. 2016. After 20 minutes the brilliant chat service person finally told me that his access only goes to Feb 2017. He obviously was ignorant of that fact.Why?

He then told me to call 800-950-****, where ,after 5 minutes of recorded message nonsense i spoke with a rep, obviously as ill-trained as the Chat Line person. So, after 15 minutes of wasted time with her, she then informed me that her records only go back to March, 2017.Why didn't she know that before i wasted my time?I have been a loyal customer since 1990 and am disgusted with the incompetence i have experienced. I will now do the bulk of my credit card purchases with Bank of America where i get more intelligent service.

Bought a product from a sales person via phone with the understanding I could review contract products (Real Estate related). They lied and I couldn't cancel and in fact charged me for something I never confirmed, on yelp this was a huge issue..

Brought this to Citi's attention and filed a dispute.. They said after about a month that since I confirmed the charge I had to take it up with the merchant... what is the point of having card security etc if when duped they don't help?

I showed the unsigned contract and the texts of me asking the merchant for everything in writing... *** to Citi...

It took 25 minutes to reset the password to access the citi easy deals account. Once there - WOW 10% discount on mostly restaurants. What a waste of my time and efforts. Three connections to get to someone who was spitting into her mike. The billing statement is setup to act like bait claiming you have a lot of SAVINGS but you find the SAVINGS has nothing to do with the deals. Not only a gimmick but one with poor value - avoid it! Everyone should know any business offers a 10 percent discount regularly - typically once a quarter and up to 25 percent discounts one or two times a year, therefore, these are NOT deals.

I have had issues with my costco citicard online payments since day 1 of the switch from American Express. The first payment appeared to go through. When I logged in to pay the 2nd month, it would not let me pay. I called customer service and was told my first payment did not go through to inaccurate account information and once I log in and Correct the account info everything would be fine. He then proceeded to tell me there would not be any charges associated with the incident. I go online to "correct"the account info only it wouldn't let me as the exact same account (identical account number) was already saved. I tried 3 times and triple checked for accuracy each time. Every time same message. So clearly my original entry was accurate. Nevertheless, still couldn't pay my bill online. Finally the next month I was able to pay successfully online but discovered a fee had been charged. Now we are back to a malfunctioning website. I have tried to log in multiple occasions on separate days with an error message each time.

Awful Customer Service

I am a 58 year old male with excellent credit. I decided to get a Hilton Honors Citi card to build Hilton points. Within two weeks Citi shut down the account due to perceived fraud. They would not explain anything to me and refused to believe who I was! I answered the security questions, provided all the personal detail on my account, but still treated like an insect. Then I had to send in a copy of my SS card, drivers license and a recent home bill. They still refused to believe who I was. Again, all contact was all on my initiative. They NEVER contacted me or responded to me to explain anything about the situation. When I attempted to cancel, they said I couldn't because they would not verify who I was. Crazy vortex of corporate ineptitude. I am so sorry I ever dealt with them. Oh, and guess what the perceived fraud was...I bought a $300 part for my car from the local Nissan dealer(!?!). I strongly recommend you do not do business with these people. They treat customers like adversaries.

I have been with Citi card for 4 years and they jacked up my interest rate so high due to one missed payment even if I did missed the payment due to their fault and when I try to resolve the issue they were not be able to help me to solve the problem. As far as I am concerned citi card is a criminal company.

No wonder People in this country pissed of with this national institutions like citi card.

It is a rip off. I will never do business with them once I paid of this balance.

TERRIBLE customer service. I was on hold multiple times for almost half an hour and I never got through to anyone. When I finally did, they intentionally screwed up my name change. I was a bit frustrated after being on hold and bein transferred so I had a stern tone. I spelled out my new name clearly, which is short and simple, five times and yet he still misspelled it. Because of his intentional error, I have to wait a few days to receive my new credit that has an incorrect name and activate it. Then, I have to call back to get name changed and then wait for a few days for the new credit card. Just terrible customer service.

I just signed up for this credit card and wished I had known about the terrible customer service. I would have never signed up. I never thought customer service would even be this terrible because AMEX, Discover, Chase, and Capital One are AMAZING. Never thought it was possible, but Citi has made horrible credit card company customer service possible. They deserve an award for being so noticeably terrible. 1. 45min to 60min call waits. 2. When you finally get to speak to someone, they are rude and don't "listen" 3. They will hang up on you if they don't want to address your concerns any more 4. If they feel like they are done helping you, they will end the call, regardless of whether you are actually done with your questions. 5. NO ONE CARES about your issues, you are SOL.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. 30-45 minute hold times, 4 different calls to resolve a simple issue, customer service representatives based offshore that don't know how to answer basic questions without transferring, late arrival of card, penalties and service fees based on all these delays. The list goes on. After holding on the last call for 45 mins, I finally tried chatting with someone. The first person had to transfer me (are you kidding me?) and I then waited on chat for 20 minutes before finally giving up! The card does it's job but the customer service makes you want to kill yourself. DO NOT GET THIS CARD if you want simplicity and efficiency when you have a problem.

Typical Citibank/Citicorp. They do no hire Americans, who seem read scripts and are incapable of thinking.

They rely on technology and pre-recorded messages and interminable wait time. BAD SERVICE is the Citi hallmark.
