I tried to replace my card but their customer service couldn't verify my ID because the phone number in file is different from what I have now! (I opened the account more than 10 years ago, but didn't use the card much for some years-they had absolutely ridiculous rule about accessing online statement, asking for debit card info while I don't even have a checking account with them, I had to go to a branch to show my ID personally to rid of the lock. Talking about time waster, beyond imagination) Now, same incompetency continues, after getting my ss#, mothers maiden name,an account number connected w the card, etc, they say they couldn't verify my ID because my current phone number is different from the old phone number. Don't know how long it'll take them to get back to me this time, but I'll be sure not to ever try this bank again. Stay away and don't waste your time.

Citicards - Terrible "service"

Absolutely the worst customer "service" I have experienced anywhere. Called to have a replacement card sent after citi canceled my card for not using it enough, I guess. I was told by the citi rep after he processed and verified my information. that a new card was being sent by Fed Ex overnight express to my address. He also said that I could track the shipment online in my account. That turned out to be false, there is no option in accounts to track anything. Four days later - no card. On the second and third day, I left a total of 3 messages from my online account to inquire about the card and how to track it because I was getting worried. Citi responded with a generic message to only one of my messages, and the response was that they knew nothing. Further emails and I was ignored. Two phone calls and I was transferred to different departments and hung up on before reaching anyone. I have used the card for 16 years but now think that I will quit the apathetic citbank with their apathetic and flawed customer service. In the meantime I am worried that the card may have been sent to the wrong address and potential for identity theft.
