Citicards review: Absolutely lousy log on application

EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to log on to pay my bill, I am locked out. It says I have an incorrect log on. I then proceed to verify my identity and it says I don't know who I am! I know it is the system because I have a password saver that logs all my passwords and it's beyond reason that it happens EVERY time for over a year. I have had to change it many times just to get back on. I only used the card to transfer a balance for no interest for a long period. Cannot wait until I'm done with it....at least that is if I can log on to pay it off!

Citicards review: Terrible "service"

Absolutely the worst customer "service" I have experienced anywhere. Called to have a replacement card sent after citi canceled my card for not using it enough, I guess. I was told by the citi rep after he processed and verified my information. that a new card was being sent by Fed Ex overnight express to my address. He also said that I could track the shipment online in my account. That turned out to be false, there is no option in accounts to track anything. Four days later - no card. On the second and third day, I left a total of 3 messages from my online account to inquire about the card and how to track it because I was getting worried. Citi responded with a generic message to only one of my messages, and the response was that they knew nothing. Further emails and I was ignored. Two phone calls and I was transferred to different departments and hung up on before reaching anyone. I have used the card for 16 years but now think that I will quit the apathetic citbank with their apathetic and flawed customer service. In the meantime I am worried that the card may have been sent to the wrong address and potential for identity theft.

I have been with Citi for about 5 years, 2 cards with 7500 limit on each, credit rating that hovers from 680-720 during that time. Since getting the cards I have NEVER made a late payment, I have NEVER gone over 50% of the credit line, and I have always paid much MORE than the amount due, every single time. But out of no where, Citi dropped my limit down to 4500 on each card. So guess what Citi? *** You. I don't need you. I have Cap One, Amex, etc. I am paying off the balance in full this month, and I will NEVER use the card again. So *** You bla bla bla bla bla

Wrote alot here to tell what happened.....I erased it all. Basically after many years of being with them I think they could do a lot better. They stopped my account.....even though I ALWAYS pay, never late and pay much more then the minimum. The reason......THEY called me and because I did not answer a question correctly they froze the credit....did not tell me and my car insurance payment then bounced costing me more money. Remember they called me.....even with my statement even on my phone number on file. I complained .....no one got back to me. No problem CITI.....you want to do business like that......I closed the account. Had a very high line of credit and always pay well over the minimum and ON TIME. So what I choose to buy is my dam business not some Corporate Idiots! SO AFTER MANY MANY YEARS........................SEE YA !

Citicards review: DISPUTE PROCESS IS A JOKE

I disputed a charge from an online vendor where the refund did not go through. I sent a copy of refund notice from vendor for full amount and Citi placed a temp credit on my account. 2 months later they reversed the credit and stated vendor responded that item was ordered. Well duh, that was the dispute issue I ordered the item, they charged me, the next day I cancelled and they sent me a refund confirmation. Citi refused to do any further follow up and I was told by their Executive Office that they only even had a dispute process because MC/Visa MADE THEM. IN OTHER WORDS THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL.

It took 25 minutes to reset the password to access the citi easy deals account. Once there - WOW 10% discount on mostly restaurants. What a waste of my time and efforts. Three connections to get to someone who was spitting into her mike. The billing statement is setup to act like bait claiming you have a lot of SAVINGS but you find the SAVINGS has nothing to do with the deals. Not only a gimmick but one with poor value - avoid it! Everyone should know any business offers a 10 percent discount regularly - typically once a quarter and up to 25 percent discounts one or two times a year, therefore, these are NOT deals.

Citicards review: Early fraud detection

I applied for a citi double cash back credit card. I got a letter that it was approved and I would receive my card in 7 to 10 business days. However, before I received my card, I get another letter saying the early fraud detection had blocked my card due to a transaction that needed approval. There was a number that I had to call for details. I had not received my card and did not even know my number yet. When I called the number, I was told that I had to send my SSN and other personal details by postal mail or FAX. I refused to send that for my ID protection. I received my card after a couple of days, but could not use it. I called again and was told I had to send that information "by FAX or postal mail". I asked them to close the account and destroyed the card. What is going on here? First of all, the transaction seems fraudulent since it happened before I received a card I don't have any other citi credit cards. Next, in these days of ID theft, they insisted that I send personal info via postal mail or FAX. I wasn't even told what transaction led to the early fraud detection block.

Citicards - Credit Card Review

I went into the Citibank in Florida wanting to apply for a double cash credit card. The account t rep was very helpful in filling out my info on line. In less than 24 hours I received an approval email and waited for my card. I received a welcome letter telling me to watch for my card within 7-10 days. Card never arrived. Spent many hours calling on the specified call line. Was again told card was sent and they would cancel it a sent by FedEx/UPS a new card. Second card never arrived in the specified time. Called again spoke to a rep who buy me on hold and eventually just disconnected the line. Again went through the same procedure to be told by a rep that they needed me to send my social security info by mail and they would get back to me! My suggestion to people wanting a Citi credit card is to go to TD bank who are much easier, more reliable and really do help out on issues. I have spoken to supervisors who never deliver. Do not waste your time with Citibank in Florida.

Citicards review: Did not stay at this hotel

I got invited to attend a relatives wedding in Shenectady N.Y. on5/23/16.My son and dauther in law agreeded to pay the airfare and I agreeded to pay for the hotel. Wewere told by N.Y. relatives to stay at the Albany airport hotel. Later that day we were switched by these relatives, to stay at the Hamton Inn, Schenettady (see MC statement charge for 5/23/16.) My daughter in law Debby Gonway made and cancelled the Albany reservatioh before arrival time. I have spoken to the Albany hotel rep and they will not cooperate in this matter I have also written notes to CITI CARDS while sending my checks , always on time or early . Not the proper procedure I realize now. I will not pay the Albany hotel, nor the interest charges CITI keeps adding every month. You have to make a decision to drop me as a client , turn me over for collection or get rid of these charges somehow. It has been a pleasure doing business. Eugene j. Conway Card #[REDACTED].

Citicards review: Citi Cards closed accounts arbitrarily

I have been a CitiCards customer for 15 years and had several credit card accounts. my FICO is in the 800's, never been late and used the cards often. My limit had just been raised in one account without my asking s obviously I was a good credit risk. Citicards also wiped out my accumulated cash back as well as the other points. No reason was given other than a letter from the Executive Team in South Dakota stating they have closed the accounts with no email or phone number or name who to contact. Nothing whatsoever!! t was embarrassing to have tried to pay for merchandise and find that all my cards were rejected just like that. There is absolutely no reason for their action, none. So what gives, why would they treat a customer in good standing like that??? I'm bewildered and extremely upset!!!!
